Checking supplies levels Note Using level indicators You can check the supplies levels using the printer control panel, the embedded Web server, HP Web JetAdmin, or Printer Status and Alerts. Using the supplies status indicators on the control panel When the printer is in the Ready state, a status indicator for the four print cartridges, the four image drums, and the image cleaning kit appears on the control panel display. The blue bars in the status indicators will shrink as the supplies are used. A warning message appears on the printer control panel display when a supply is low and needs to be ordered. When a supply runs out, the printer shows another warning message, and the supply should be replaced immediately in order to continue printing. See "Using the supplies status indicators" on page 67. Using the control panel to print the supplies status page 1 Press (SELECT) to open the menus. 2 Use (UP button) or (SELECT). (DOWN button) to scroll to INFORMATION, and then press 3 Use (UP button) or (DOWN button) to scroll to PRINT SUPPLIES STATUS PAGE, and then press (SELECT). 4 The supplies status page prints and the printer closes the menus. Using the embedded Web server to view the supplies status page 1 In your Web browser, type the IP address for the printer. This takes you to the printer status page. The IP address for the printer appears on the control panel. 2 On the left side of the screen, click Supplies Status. This takes you to the supplies status page, which shows supply-level information. See "Supplies status pages" on page 293 for information about the supplies status page. See "Embedded Web server" on page 165 for more information about using the embedded Web server. If you want to order supplies, click Order Supplies. This opens a browser and connects you to the Internet Enabled Supplies Ordering feature that you can use to purchase supplies online. Select the supplies you want to order and finish the ordering process. Using HP Web Jetadmin In HP Web JetAdmin, select the printer device. Using level indicators
You can check the supplies levels using the printer control panel, the embedded Web
server, HP Web JetAdmin, or Printer Status and Alerts.
Using the supplies status indicators on the control panel
When the printer is in the Ready state, a status indicator for the four print cartridges, the
four image drums, and the image cleaning kit appears on the control panel display.
