Note HP LaserJet Utility The HP LaserJet Utility provides access to features that are not available in the printer driver. The illustrated screens simplify the selection of printer features. Use the HP LaserJet Utility to perform the following tasks: q Customize the printer control panel messages. q Name the printer, assign it to a zone on the network, download files and fonts, and change most of the printer settings. q Set a password for the printer. q From the computer, lock out functions on the printer control panel to prevent unauthorized access. (See the printer-driver help.) q Configure and set the printer for Internet Protocol (IP) or AppleTalk printing. q Initialize disk or flash memory (not available in the PS printer driver). q Manage fonts in RAM, disk, or flash memory. q Administer job-retention features. The HP LaserJet Utility is not supported for the Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese languages. See the HP LaserJet Utility Help on your computer for more information. Fonts Eighty screen fonts are installed that correspond with the PS fonts that reside in the printer.
