Severity Warning Description The adapter was unable to copy an Ethernet packet to a receive buffer owned by MtcDgs. The Event Viewer Data section contains the Windows NT (NdisTransferData) (NDIS) error code. The cause of this message is usually that the NIC was reset while a receive was in progress. IOPn.MtcDgs status: Ethernet transmit error. Severity Warning Description A network adapter was unable to transmit an Ethernet packet. Occasional transmit errors can occur. A large number of transmit errors can indicate a problem with the network adapter. The Event Viewer Data section contains the actual NDIS error code. IOPn.MtcDgs status: Incomplete transfer of incoming Ethernet packet to the receive buffer. Severity Warning Description An adapter was unable to copy the entire Ethernet packet to a receive buffer owned by MtcDgs. This error usually occurs because the NIC was reset while a receive was in progress. The Event Viewer Data section of the message contains the length transferred and requested. Action You can ignore this message unless it is logged frequently. IOPn.MtcDgs status: Initialization error Severity Error Description This message is returned during initialization as the result of failure of a Windows NT kernel mode system routine. The Event Viewer Data section contains the Windows NT or NDIS error code. MtcDgs aborts initialization. Action • Check the Event Viewer for non-HP NetServer AA errors, such as those logged by the NIC driver. • If necessary, reboot the IOP. Refer to Chapter 9 in HP NetServer AA Solution Administrator's Guide for information about how to reboot an IOP. 92
