Chapter 13 MtcMon Messages IOPn.MtcMon status: CEx cannot be booted because not all required ESIs are available. Variables x - the ID of the CE that cannot be booted Severity Error Description The CE cannot be booted into the system configuration because a required Endurance System Interconnect (ESI) is not available. Related Messages IOPn.MtcMon status: ESIx is faulted and requires repair. Hardware/Software This message is generated in response to the hardware failure of an ESI. Action • Examine the Endurance Manager to determine which Interconnects are faulted. • Correct the faulted condition, and then use the Endurance Manager to enable the Interconnect. • If the Interconnect continues to fail, contact your service provider for assistance. IOPn.MtcMon status: CEx cannot be booted by IOPy because the Monitor's ConfigurationArcTree Registry entry is invalid. Variables x - the ID of the CE that cannot be booted y - the ID of the IOP that is attempting to drive the CE boot Severity Error Description This message is generated during an attempt to boot the Windows NT operating system on the CE(s). The boot cannot be performed because the Monitor's configuration ARC tree entry in the Windows NT Registry is not valid. Hardware/Software This message is generated as a result of a software configuration error on the specified IOP. Action • Reinstall the Endurance software on IOPx. This recreates the configuration ARC tree that is stored in the Windows NT Registry on IOPy. • If the problem persists after a reinstallation on the IOP, contact your service provider for assistance. 236
