Chapter 13 MtcMon Messages IOPn.MtcMon status: The CE CPU ID 0xx versions are not compatible. CE1 CPU version information = 0xy. CE2 CPU version information = 0xz. Variables x - the ID of incompatible CPUs y - the CPUx version information in CE1 z - the CPUx version information in CE2 Severity Error Description The CPU version information for CPUx in CEs 1 and 2 is not identical. The CEs cannot be synchronized unless the versions of the same ID CPUs in each CE match exactly. Hardware/Software This message is generated as a result of a hardware configuration error in the CEs. Action To resolve this condition, do one of the following: • Power down one of the CEs and replace CPUx with a CPU with an identical version to CPUx in the active CE. • Power down both CEs and replace CPUx in both CEs with CPUs with identical versions. IOPn.MtcMon status: The CE CPUx model and/or family types are not compatible. CE1 CPU ID register = 0xy. CE2 CPU ID register = 0xz. Variables x - the ID of the incompatible CPUs y - the contents of the Intel Pentium CPU ID register of CE1 z - the contents of the Intel Pentium CPU ID register of CE2 Severity Error Description The model and/or family of the Intel Pentium processors in the CEs do not match. As a result, the CEs are incompatible and cannot be synchronized. Hardware/Software The message indicates a difference between the Intel Pentium processors on the CE motherboards. Action Replace the CE processors so that both CE motherboards contain Intel Pentium processors that have identical family and model numbers. Until the problem is resolved, the Endurance will operate with one active CE. 275
