Chapter 13 MtcMon Messages IOPn.MtcMon status: The CE MIC FPGA revisions do not match. CE1 MIC FPGA revision = 0xx. CE2 MIC FPGA revision = 0xy. Variables x - the revision of the MIC module FPGA in CE1 y - the revision of the MIC module FPGA in CE2 Severity Error Description The revisions of the FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) in the CE MICs do not match. The CE MICs must use the same FPGA revision for the CEs to synchronize. Hardware/Software This message is generated as a result of a difference between the FPGA revisions of the MIC modules in the CEs. Action To resolve this condition, run the MTCFLASH Utility to update the FPGA revision on one or both CEs. Refer to Chapter 7 in HP NetServer AA Solution Administrator's Guide for information. IOPn.MtcMon status: The CE MIC microcode edit levels do not match. CE1 MIC microcode revision = 0xx. CE2 MIC microcode revision = 0xy. Variables x - the revision of the MIC adapter microcode in CE1 y - the revision of the MIC adapter microcode in CE2 Severity Warning Description The edit level field of the MIC adapter microcode revision information in CEs 1 and 2 does not match. While the CEs will be allowed to synchronize, this situation should be corrected to eliminate any potential for unexpected behavior between the CEs. Hardware/Software This message is generated as a result of different revision levels between the MIC microcodes in the two CEs. This can be resolved by installing the most recent versions of the microcode. Action To resolve this condition: • Determine the CE whose MIC contains the appropriate revision of the MIC microcode. Refer to the HP NetServer AA 6200 Solution Release Notes (Release 3.0 Service Pack 1) to determine the appropriate MIC microcode revision level. • Remove the other CE from the configuration and use the MTCFLASH utility to install the revision of the MIC adapter microcode that matches the other CE. Refer to Chapter 7 in HP NetServer AA Solution Administrator's Guide for information about using MTCFASH. 278

Description
The revisions of the FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) in the CE MICs do not match.
The CE MICs must use the same FPGA revision for the CEs to synchronize.
Hardware/Software
This message is generated as a result of a difference between the FPGA revisions of the MIC
modules in the CEs.
Action
To resolve this condition, run the MTCFLASH Utility to update the FPGA revision on one or
both CEs. Refer to
Chapter 7
in
HP NetServer AA Solution Administrator
s Guide
for

Description
The edit level field of the MIC adapter microcode revision information in CEs 1 and 2 does not
match. While the CEs will be allowed to synchronize, this situation should be corrected to

To resolve this condition:
Determine the CE whose MIC contains the appropriate revision of the MIC microcode.
Refer to the
HP NetServer AA 6200 Solution Release Notes
(Release 3.0 Service Pack 1)
to determine the appropriate MIC microcode revision level.
Remove the other CE from the configuration and use the MTCFLASH utility to install the
revision of the MIC adapter microcode that matches the other CE. Refer to
