Depending on the type of test that is running, this message could indicate a malfunctioning MIC or a faulty fiber connection. Action • If the message displays when you are running a client-server test, perform an external loopback test on each MIC to determine if the problem is with the MIC or the fiber connection. • If the message displays when you are running an external loopback test, perform an internal loopback test to determine if the problem is with the MIC or the fiber connection. • If the message displays when you are running an internal loopback test, replace the MIC. 58
