Occasional transmit errors can occur, and the packet is retransmitted by a higher level network transport protocol. Related Messages IOPn.MtcEthP status: Threshold exceeded for Ethernet transmit errors. Hardware/Software A large number of transmit errors can indicate a problem with the NIC or the Ethernet cable. Action • Check the Ethernet cable. • Run the NIC manufacturer's diagnostics program. • If errors persist, replace the NIC. IOPn.MtcEthP status: Incomplete transfer of incoming Ethernet packet to the receive buffer. Severity Warning Description The Network Interface Controller was unable to copy the entire Ethernet packet to a receive buffer owned by the Ethernet Provider. This message is usually logged if the NIC is reset while a receive was in progress. IOPn.MtcEthP status: Invalid Ethernet packet received. Severity Warning Description The Network Interface Controller indicated that it received an Ethernet packet with an invalid data length (greater than 1500 bytes).
