Chapter 14 MtcScsiP and MtcScsiR Messages IOPn.MtcScsiP status: Unable to locate detected bad block for DISKn during mirror copy. Retrying read operation. Variables n - the disk number; for example, DISK0, DISK1, DISK2 Severity Warning Description Whenever the presence of a bad block is detected, it will be localized down to a specific sector. However, if the error was transient, it may be impossible to identify because the error will not recur. The error message specified will occur only when the error is transient and the read that initially failed will be retried. Action No action is required. IOPn.MtcScsiP status: Unable to obtain local SCSI inquiry data for DEVICEn because DEVICEn was not found. Mirror copy need cannot be determined. Variables n - the device number; for example, DISK1, CDROM1, TAPE2 Severity Warning Description HP NetServer AA software was unable to obtain SCSI information for the specified device. This error results from other errors that occurred just prior to it. Action The specified device was not found. • Check for a misconfiguration in which the device was configured to reside at a particular SCSI address, but instead resides at a different SCSI address. • If there is no problem with the configuration, verify the device is powered on, and review SCSI termination and cable connections.
