Chapter 13 MtcMon Messages IOPn.MtcMon status: The CE MIC BIOS setting for PCI parity checking differs between CEs. Severity Error Description The MIC BIOS parameter Parity Checking is not set consistently in CEs 1 and 2. The CEs cannot synchronize unless this parameter matches in both CEs. Hardware/Software The software settable MIC BIOS Parity Checking parameter is set incorrectly on one CE. Action To resolve this condition: • On both CEs, go into the BIOS, correct the discrepancy, save the settings, and then reboot. For information about the MIC BIOS utility, refer to Chapter 7 in HP NetServer AA Solution Administrator's Guide. • If this does not resolve the problem, contact your service provider for assistance. IOPn.MtcMon status: The CE MIC bus IDs do not match. CE1 MIC bus ID = x. CE2 MIC bus ID = y. Variables x - the bus ID of the MIC module in CE1 y - the bus ID of the MIC module in CE2 Severity Error Description The bus IDs of the CE MICs do not match. The CE MICs must use the identical bus and slot IDs for the CEs to synchronize. Hardware/Software This message is generated as a result of a hardware configuration error in the CEs. Action To resolve this condition, note the bus ID of each CE's MIC and either: • Power down one of the CEs and reinstall the MIC so that it uses the same bus ID as the active CE's MIC. • Power down both CEs and reinstall the MICs so that they use the same bus ID. 277
