firmwareDownload 2 -s Specify this operand to enable single -CP mode. This mode enables you to select or disable full install, autoreboot, and autocommit modes, on bladed and non-bladed systems. On bladed systems, this mode enables you to upgrade a single CP. When downloading the main Fabric OS firmware, this option disables autoreboot, unless overridden by the -b option. -b Specify this operand to activate autoreboot mode. After downloading firmware, the system must be rebooted. If single CP mode is enabled and this operand is not specified, you must issue the reboot command to activate the downloaded image. If autoreboot mode is enabled, the switch reboots automatically after this command is issued. -n Specify this operand to deactivate autocommit mode. By default, after running this command and after the reboot, the switch performs a firmwareCommit command automatically. When this mode is disabled, the user needs to issue the firmwareCommit command to replicate the downloaded image to both partitions of the storage device. host Specify a valid FTP or SSH server name or IP address: for example, "citadel" or ""192.168.166.30", or "fec0:60:69bc:65::10" for IPv6 address. The firmware is downloaded from this host. If this operand is not used, the firmware is considered to be accessible through a local directory. user Specify a user name for FTP or SSH server access: for example, "jdoe". This user name is used to gain access to the host. This operand can be omitted if firmware is accessible through a local directory or if the user name is anonymous for FTP server access. It is required and cannot be "anonymous" for SSH server access. path Specify a fully-qualified path for the firmware. Absolute path names may be specified using forward slashes (/). passwd Specify a password. This operand can be omitted if firmware is accessible through a local directory, or if no password is required by the FTP server. This operand is required when accessing a SSH server. -p Specify the file transfer protocol used to download the firmware from the file server. Valid values are ftp and scp. The values are not case-sensitive. If -p is not specified, firmwareCommit determines the protocol automatically by checking the config.security parameter. -a Specify which type of firmware is being downloaded. Valid values are SAS and any valid application name. The values are not case-sensitive. -t [all] Specify which slots the firmware will be downloaded to. Valid values are all, or a list of slot numbers separated by ',' or a range or slots separated by '-'. -c Specify this option to disable the version compatibility checking. By default, firmwaredownload will check the compatiblity between the firmware that is being downloaded with other running firmware images in the system. If the firmware version is not compatible, firmwaredownload will fail. If this option is specified, the version compatibility checking is disabled. Fabric OS Command Reference Manual 237 53-1000436-01
