ipAddrSet 2 ipAddrSet Sets the IP address details for a switch or control processor (CP). Synopsis ipaddrset [-cp number] ipaddrset[-sw number] ipaddrset[-ipv6 ] ipaddrset [-cp number] ipaddrset [-sw number] ipaddrset [--add x:x:x:x:x:x:x/n | --delete] -slot number ipaddrset [--add x.x.x.x/n | --delete] ipaddrset [-eth0 | -eth1] ipaddrset-slot number ipaddrset [--add x.x.x.x | --delete] ipaddrset -gate Description Use this command to set the IP addresses on the switch or CP. The command's usage varies depending on whether it is being used on a chassis-based system or nonchassis-based switch. On a chassis-based system, if no option is provided, the command prints the usage. To set the CP IP address use -cp; to set the switch IP address use -sw. When setting the switch, the command prompts for the Ethernet IP address, Ethernet subnetmask, Fibre Channel IP address, and Fibre Channel subnetmask. When setting the CP, the command prompts for the Ethernet IP address, Ethernet subnetmask, host name, and gateway IP address. Valid switch and CP numbers depend on the platform from which the command is run. On a nonchassis-based switch, the command ignores all options. The command prompts for the Ethernet IP address, Ethernet subnetmask, Fibre Channel IP address, Fibre Channel subnetmask and gateway IP address. In addition, the command prompts for a specification of whether DHCP should be used to acquire the Ethernet IP address, Ethernet subnetmask and Gateway IP address. Valid entries are "On" to enable DHCP and "Off" to disable it. When DHCP is enabled, any user entered Ethernet IP address, Ethernet subnetmask or Gateway IP address is ignored. On a chassis based system with intelligent blades the values for the blade in slot n can be set from the command line using the -slot option. The execution of this command is subject to Admin Domain restrictions that may be in place.
