ProSafe M5300 Switch To configure protocol-based Auto-VoIP settings: 1. From the Prioritization Type menu, select the method used to prioritize VoIP traffic when a call-control protocol is detected, which is one of the following: • Remark - Remark the voice traffic with the specified 802.1p priority value at the ingress interface. • Traffic Class - Assign VoIP traffic to the specified traffic class when egressing the interface. 2. From the Class Value field, select the traffic class used for protocol-based VoIP traffic. If the Auto VoIP mode is enabled and the interface detects a call-control protocol, the switch assigns the traffic in that session to the configured Class of Service (CoS) queue. Traffic classes with a higher value are generally used for time-sensitive traffic. The CoS queue associated with the specified traffic class should be configured with the appropriate bandwidth allocation to allow priority treatment for VoIP traffic. 3. Select the check box associated with each Interface to configure, or select the check box in the header row to apply the same settings to all interfaces. 4. From the Auto-VoIP Mode menu, select the Auto-VoIP administrative mode for the interface. 5. Click APPLY to update the switch with the changes. 6. Click CANCEL to abandon the changes. Field Operational Status Description This is the operational status of the Auto-VoIP feature on the given interface. Configuring Switching Information 135
