Command Mode Interface configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode User Guidelines • The timer_value value must be a multiple of 10. • You must maintain the following relationship for the various timer values: - ·Leave time must be greater than or equal to three times the join time. - ·Leave-all time must be greater than the leave time. • Set the same GARP timer values on all Layer 2-connected devices. If the GARP timers are set differently on the Layer 2-connected devices, GARP application will not operate successfully. Example The following example sets the leave timer for port g8 to 900 milliseconds. Console (config)# interface ethernet g8 Console (config-if)# garp timer leave 900 gvrp vlan-creation-forbid The gvrp vlan-creation-forbid Interface Configuration mode command enables or disables dynamic VLAN creation. To disable dynamic VLAN creation, use the no form of this command. Syntax gvrp vlan-creation-forbid no gvrp vlan-creation-forbid Default Configuration By default, dynamic VLAN creation is enabled. The creation or modification of dynamic VLAN registration entries as a result of the GVRP exchanges on an interface are restricted only to those VLANs for which static VLAN registration exists.
