Syntax spanning-tree bpdu {filtering | flooding} • filtering-Filter BPDU packets when spanning-tree is disabled on an interface. • flooding-Flood BPDU packets when spanning-tree is disabled on an interface. Default Configuration The default definition is flooding. Command Modes Global Configuration mode User Guidelines • The command is relevant when spanning-tree is disabled globally or on a single interface. Example The following example defines BPDU packet flooding when spanning-tree is disabled on an interface. Console(config)# spanning-tree bpdu flooding clear spanning-tree detected-protocols The clear spanning-tree detected-protocols Privileged EXEC mode command restarts the protocol migration process (force the renegotiation with neighboring switches) on all interfaces or on the specified interface. Syntax clear spanning-tree detected-protocols [ethernet interface number | port-channel portchannel-number] • interface-A valid Ethernet port. • port-channel-number-A port-channel index. Default Configuration If no interface is specified, the action is applied to all interfaces.
