Example The following example forbids adding VLANs number 234 till 256, to g8. Console (config)# interface ethernet g8 Console (config-if)# switchport forbidden vlan add 234-256 map protocol protocols-group The map protocol protocols-group VLAN Configuration mode command maps a protocol to a protocol group. Protocol groups are used for protocol-based VLAN assignment. To delete a protocol from a group, use the no form of this command. Syntax map protocol protocol [encapsulation] protocols-group group no map protocol protocol encapsulation • protocol-The protocol is a 16 or 40 bits protocol number or one of the following names, ip-arp or ipx. The protocol number is in Hex format (Range: 0600 - FFFF). • encapsulation-One of the following values: ethernet, rfc1042 or llcOther. If no option is indicated the default is ethernet. • group-Protocol group number (Range: 1 - 2147483647). Default Configuration This command has no default configuration.
