To disable the DNS, use the no form of this command. Syntax ip domain-lookup no ip domain-lookup This command has no arguments or keywords. Default Configuration Enabled Command Mode Global Configuration mode User Guidelines • There are no user guidelines for this command. Examples The following example enables the IP Domain Naming System (DNS)-based host name-to-address translation. Console (config)# ip domain-lookup ip domain-name The ip domain-name Global Configuration mode command defines a default domain name, that the software uses to complete unqualified host names (names without a dotted-decimal domain name). To disable use of the Domain Name System (DNS), use the no form of this command. Syntax ip domain-name name no ip domain-name • name-Default domain name used to complete unqualified host names.
