HL-1850/1870N SERVICE MANUAL Error Message PRINT OVERRUN IGNORE DATA SIZE ERROR DX SIZE ERROR T1 SIZE ERROR T2 NO DX TRAY DX LEVER ERROR NO TRAY1 CLEAN DRUM UNIT Remedy Reduce the resolution, or add the optional memory. (1) Press the Go switch to print the data remaining in the printer. (2) Reduce the complexity of the document. (3) Expand the printer memory by adding a commercial ly avai lable DIMM. (4) Set page protect to correct size. Send correct data to the printer. Specify the printable paper size. Set the correct paper that you want to use into the Tray 1, or load the same size paper that you selected in the current driver setting. Set the correct paper that you want to use into the Tray 2, or load the same size paper that you selected in the current driver setting. Instal l the duplex tray correctly. Set paper adjustment lever for duplex printing. Instal l paper cassette (standard) into the Tray 1. Clean the corona wire. Refer to subsection 3.2 `Cleaning the drum unit' in CHAPTER 5. Maintenance Message CHANGE DRUM SOON Remedy The drum unit is almost at the end of life. Prepare a new drum unit. Refer to subsection 1.1 Drum Unit' in CHAPTER TONER LOW REPLACE PF KIT1 REPLACE PF KIT2 REPLACE FUSER Indicates that the toner cartridge is nearly empty. Purchase a new toner cartridge in order to be ready for when the "TONER EMPTY" message is indicated. Also refer to subsection 1.2 Toner Cartridge' in CHAPTER 5. Replace the paper feeding kit (pad holder ZLh ASSY / paper pick-up rol ler ASSY). Refer to subsection 3.3 `Paper Cassette' and 3.13 `Paper Pick-up Roller ASSY' in CHAPTER 4. Replace the fixing unit. Refer to subsection 3.12 `Fixing Unit" REPLACE LASER Replace the laser unit. Refer to subsection 3.11 Laser Unit' in CHAPTER 4. 6-5
