Windows CE Thin Client User Manual Introduction CHAPTER 10 Dial-Up PPP Connection Configuration This chapter describes how to create a Neoware Dial-Up PPP connection and explains the configuration options available. This manual is intended to cover a number of Neoware thin client models. Depending on the software version included with your thin client, it may not have the Neoware Dial-Up PPP client installed. PPP/RAS (Point-to-Point Protocol / Remote Access Server) is the Internet Standard for the transmission of network packets over dialup connections. Once a PPP/RAS connection has been established, a user can then run RDP, ICA, Internet Explorer or terminal emulation server sessions. This chapter describes how to create a new Dial-Up PPP connection, then proceeds to explain all the configuration options available. For details on how to start a Dial-Up PPP connection, refer to the section "Starting a Connection" on page 18. 109
