The Local Resources Tab RDP Connection Configuration Some of the configuration items on the Local Resources tab are RDP 5.1 features and will not work with Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000 Server with Terminal Services enabled. RDP 5.1 features such as audio and serial port mapping, only work with Windows XP Professional desktop devices and Windows Server 2003 Terminal Services. Remote computer sound Default: Bring to this computer This option requires RDP protocol level 5.1 or above. The setting of this option determines whether sound generated by the remote RDP server is directed to the local thin client speaker (Bring to this computer), or only to the RDP server speaker (Leave at remote computer), or disabled (Do not play). Local devices Default: Printers selected only These check boxes allow you to enable or disable local devices. Global RDP Settings 69
