Loading Paper and Documents Keep the following in mind to avoid damaging the document glass:  Do not hold a document firmly on the glass when copying a thick document.  Place hard documents gently.  Avoid loading documents with sharp projections. If your documents are portrait, load them with the top edge of the documents in first.
