Cleaning the Printer I Cleaning Inside the Printer After a paper jam, you may find ink sprayed on the left or right side of the platen. If you continue to print without cleaning the platen, the back sides of the next sheets to be printed could be stained with ink. Without touching the film cable, carefully wipe clean the portions of the platen marked by shading in the illustration.
