application dial rules
This field displays the order in which Cisco Business Edition 3000 checks application
dial rules for the calling number. Once a rule is found that matches the calling number,
Cisco Business Edition applies that rule to the calling number and disregards the
remaining rules.
To change the order in which Cisco Business Edition 3000 checks
application dial rules, click the
Move to…
button and change the priority
ranking.
Note
Order
In the text box, enter a name to identify the application dial rule. The name can
include up to 50 characters in any language, but it cannot include double-quotes ("),
percentage sign (%), ampersand (&), back-slash (\), or angle brackets (<>).
Name
In the text box, enter the digits that appear at the beginning of the calling number.
Cisco Business Edition 3000 compares these digits against the digits in the calling
number in order to determine if the application dial rule applies to this calling number.
For example, if you enter 972 in the text box, Cisco Business Edition 3000 checks
to see if the calling number begins with 972. If the digits do not match, Cisco Business
Edition 3000 does not apply the dial rule to this calling number.
Begins With
In the text box, enter the digit length of the calling number to which the rule applies.
If both the Begins With and Number of Digits fields match the calling number, Cisco
Business Edition applies the rule to the calling number.
Number of Digits
Enter the number of digits that you want to strip from the beginning of all calling
numbers that match the conditions in the Begins With and Number of Digits fields.
For example, if you want to add an area code or country code to the calling number,
add the digits here.
Remove First Digits
Enter any digits that you want to add as a prefix to all calling numbers that match
the conditions in both the Begins With and Number of Digits fields.
For example, if you want to add an area code or country code to all calling numbers,
enter the digits here.
Prefix With Digits
This field displays the translation pattern after Cisco Business Edition 3000 applies
