Digit Discard Instructions Settings Digit Discard Instructions Settings Table 71: Edit Digit Discard Instructions Settings Field Description Copy Manual Settings from Connection This is an optional field. From the drop-down list, select the PSTN connection from which you want to copy the manually configured digit discard instructions. The PSTN connection for which you are configuring the digit discard instructions, also appears in the drop-drown list. Select the PSTN connection from the drop-down list and click Load to load the digit discard instructions. The digit discard instruction pattern appears in the table below. Note From the drop-down list, you can also choose the PSTN connection for which this digit discard instructions is configured. To add digit discard patterns, click + icon. To delete the digit discard pattern, click - icon. Click Reset to remove the connection from which the digit discard instructions is selected. Click Load again to load the digit discard instructions from the PSTN connection with the updated changes during the interim. Called Number Pattern Enter the called number pattern for Digit Discard. OR Enter the pattern to match the called number against. Remove First Digits From the drop-down list, select the number of digits to be excluded from the beginning of the called party number. Prefix With Digits Final Number Enter prefix digits in the Prefix Digits (Outgoing Calls) field. Valid entries include the digits 0 through 9; the wildcard characters asterisk (*) and octothorpe (#); the international escape character +; and blank. The ampersand (&) and period (.) are not supported. Note The final number (digits retained + prefix digits) must be equal in length to the extension length in the system. The final number is formed from prefixing the specified prefix to the retained digits. Note The length of the final number must be equal in length to extension length configured for the system.
