xStack® DGS-3200 Series Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet Managed Switch Last Listener Query Interval (1-25 Sec) Use this parameter to specify the maximum amount of time between group-specific query messages, including those sent in response to done-group messages. You might lower this interval to reduce the amount of time it takes a router to detect the loss of the last listener of a group. Default: 1 second. Node Timeout (1-16711450 sec) Router Timeout (1-16711450 sec) This parameter is used to specify the amount of time that must pass before a link node is considered to not be a listener. Default: 260 seconds. This parameter is used to specify the maximum amount of time a router will remain the Switch's listener for multicast groups, without receiving a node listener report. Default: 260 seconds. Done Timer (1-16711450 sec) This parameter is used to specify the maximum amount of time a group will remain in the Switch after receiving a 'Done' message from the group, without receiving a node listener report. Default: 2 seconds. Querier State Choose Enabled from the drop-down menu to specify that the Switch should act as an MLD Querier (sends MLD query packets). Choose Disabled from the drop-down menu to specify that the Switch should act as a Non-Querier (does not send MLD query packets). Fast Done Use the drop-down menu to specify if the MLD Snooping Fast Done function should be Enabled or Disabled from the specified VLAN. If enabled, the membership is immediately removed when the system receives an MLD 'Done' message. Version Use the drop-down menu to specify the version of MLD packets that will be sent by the specified ports. If an MLD packet received by the interface has a version higher then the specified version, the packet will be dropped. State Use the drop-down menu to specify if MLD Snooping should be Enabled or Disabled from the specified VLAN. Querier Router Behavior Displays if the Switch has been configured to act as a MLD Querier or Non-Querier. After setting th e previous parameters, click t he Ap ply button i n t he top section of t he window t o allow y our ch anges to be implemented. The following parameters can be viewed/modified in the bottom half of the window: Parameter Description Static Router Port Tick the checkboxes below the corresponding port numbers to specify that the ports are connected to multicast-enabled routers. This ensures that these ports will forward all packets having the multicast-enabled router as the destination will successfully reach the router, regardless of the protocol, e.t.c.
