xStack® DGS-3200 Series Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet Managed Switch Power Saving Settings This window allows the user to implement the Switch's built-in power saving features. When the Power Saving State is Enabled, a port which has a link down status will be turned off to save power to the Switch. This will not affect the port's capabilities when the port status is link up. When the Length Detection State is Enabled, the Switch will automatically determine the length of the cable and adjust the power flow accordingly. To view the following window, click Configuration > Power Saving Settings: Figure 2 - 30. Power Saving Settings window The following parameter may be configured or viewed: Parameter Description Power Saving State Length Detection State Power savings is Enabled by default. To disable this feature, select Disabled from the dropdown menu. The power saving cable length detection state is Enabled by default. To disable this feature, select Disabled from the drop-down menu. Click Apply to set the password encryption. 30
