Installing a CD-RW drive Before you begin About the CD-RW drives A CD-RW drive is an option that allows you to create music CD's, to backup/ restore internal hard disk data, to play a music CD or to read a CD-ROM. An internal-type CD-RW drive can be installed by removing the CD-RW drive cover from the front panel. CD-RW drives with the following specifications can be used. • Interface: SCSI-2 • Models known to work: consult your local Yamaha distributor or refer to the website at the following URL. • By "models known to work," we mean commercially available models that Yamaha has obtained, installed in the AW4416, and successfully tested by means of various operational tests. However, we cannot take into account slight differences in performance that may occur due to the manufacturing tolerances of each manufacturer. • Please be aware that Yamaha Corporation will accept no responsibility for any damages, neither direct nor indirect, resulting from the use of any of the above CD-RW drives. * Note that the cover panel of the AW4416 cannot be attached to a CD-RW drive with a lid-type tray. The AW4416's cover panel can be attached to a CDRW drive with a tray of the following dimensions. Maximum 138 mm ❒ The SCSI ID of the CD-RW drive • The SCSI ID of the AW4416 itself is fixed at "6."
