SADDLE STITCH FINISHER 9 Turn roller rotating knob A in the direction of the arrow to move the staple unit to the front. Turn the roller rotating knob until the triangle mark is aligned with the index. NOTE Make a test print or copy in the staple sort mode to ensure that stapling is performed properly. 3 Return the punch scrap collecting container to its original position. 2 Pull out the punch scrap collecting container and empty it. Empty the punch debris into a plastic bag or other container for disposal, taking care not to spill any of the punch debris. 4 Push the saddle stitch finisher back against the machine. 3-21

Remove the staple box.

Raise the lever at the end of the staple box.
Remove the top staple if
it is bent. If bent staples

Unlatch the saddle stitch finisher and slide
it away from the machine.

Pull out the punch scrap collecting
container and empty it.
Empty the punch debris

disposal, taking care not
to spill any of the punch
debris.

container to its original position.
