HP Extended Capabilities When you install your HP Color LaserJet 2820/2830/2840, you have the option of participating in HP's voluntary program for communication between your system and HP. This feature, available through software that is included on your printing-system software CD, helps HP monitor toner usage. At the time of the invitation (about two weeks after installation), full disclosure of the information to be communicated is provided. Participation is entirely voluntary, and the impact on your processing and connecting speed is negligible. Personal information is never sent to HP unless you give permission. TCP/IP addresses are used only to enable the connection and for security purposes. If you decline the invitation, the dialog box does not appear again later, and no data will be gathered.
