DXS-3400 Series Lite Layer 3 Stackable 10GbE Managed Switch Web UI Reference Guide Log Backup to RCP This window is used to initiate a system log backup to an RCP server. To view the following window, click Tools > Log Backup > Log Backup to RCP, as shown below: Figure 13-20Log Backup to RCP Window The fields that can be configured are described below: Parameter RCP Server IP User Name Destination File Log Type Description Enter the RCP server's IP address here. Enter the user name used for the RCP connection here. This name can be up to 32 characters long. Enter the destination path and location where the log file should be stored on the RCP server. This field can be up to 64 characters long. Select the log type that will be backed up to the RCP server. • When the System Log option is selected, the system log will be backed up. • When the Attack Log is selected, the attack log will be backed up. Click the Backup button to initiate the system log backup. Ping Ping is a small program that sends ICMP Echo packets to the IP address you specify. The destination node then responds to or "echoes" the packets sent from the Switch. This is very useful to verify connectivity between the Switch and other nodes on the network. To view the following window, click Tools >Ping, as shown below: 439
