An image that is shifted on the page horizontally, vertically, or both ways indicates that the scanner is incorrectly calibrated. See Calibrating the scanner. Unexpected image (ADF) If the copy does not look at all like the original document, make sure that no media is on the flatbed glass from a previous copy job.
