Installing and Replacing Hardware Parts Setting System Board Switches Setting System Board Switches There are ten system board switches used for configuration, numbered from 1 to 10. Of these a certain number are reserved and should not be modified, otherwise it could lead to a system failure. Switch 1-4 5 6 7 8 9 10 Default Position OFF ON ON OFF OFF OFF ON To Configure: Reserved. Do Not change Default Settings Reserved. Do Not change Default Setting Enables keyboard power-on. OFF disables this option. Enables normal modes. ON enables the BIOS recovery mode at next boot. Retains CMOS memory. ON clears CMOS memory at next boot. Enables User and System Administrator passwords. ON clears the passwords at next boot. Selects the chassis type.
