HP BIOS Overview Boot Screen This screen lets you select the order of the devices in which you want the BIOS to attempt to boot the operating system: • Hard disk drives • Removable devices The operating system assigns drive letters to these devices in the order that you specify. During POST, if the BIOS unsuccessfully boots from one device, it attempts to boot from the next device on the Boot Device Priority list until it finds an operating system.
