Using Your 3.5-Inch Floppy Disk Drive Operating the Floppy Drive Listing the Files on a Floppy Diskette Use the following instructions to list the files on a floppy diskette: 1. Load the floppy diskette into the disk drive. 2. Enter the following in a terminal window at the prompt and press Enter: tar -tvf 〈devicefile〉 where 〈devicefile〉 is the device file as listed by SAM. Note that this command will list all files on the floppy diskette. Operating the Floppy Drive
Listing the Files on a Floppy Diskette
Use the following instructions to list the files on a floppy diskette:
1.
Load the floppy diskette into the disk drive.
2.
Enter the following in a terminal window at the prompt and press
Enter
:
tar -tvf
devicefile
where
devicefile
is the device file as listed by SAM. Note that this
command will list all files on the floppy diskette.
