Using Your 3.5-Inch Floppy Disk Drive Operating the Floppy Drive Listing the Files on a Floppy Diskette Use the following instructions to list the files on a floppy diskette: 1. Load the floppy diskette into the disk drive. 2. Enter the following in a terminal window at the prompt and press Enter: tar -tvf 〈devicefile〉 where 〈devicefile〉 is the device file as listed by SAM. Note that this command will list all files on the floppy diskette.
