System Overview Keyboard and Mouse Keyboard and Mouse At this printing, only the HP three-button USB mouse is supported as a pointing device for the J5000 and J7000. For general information on using three-button mice and on the various cursor shapes associated with different areas of HP CDE while using a mouse or other pointing device, see Using Your HP Workstation. Other supported USB devices are the HP USB keyboard and HP USB hub. Since the only USB devices supported at this time are keyboards and mice, the USB hub's main purpose is currently that of an "extension cord" to allow a greater distance between the keyboard/mouse and the computer. The mouse and keyboard can be plugged into either USB port on the back of the computer. 30 Chapter 1
