Operate the multi-color touch screen 4-9 Darning and Bartacking (Free Motion Embroidery + Quilting) This selection contains various manual and automatic darning programs and various bartack programs. The different darning programs are used according to the dimensions and fabric thickness of the damaged areas. The bartack programs are for reinforcing pocket openings, zippers or skirt slashes. Touch Darning+Bartacking on the main menu. Automatc Darning / . IIijIh I Iihhhk liii Drninø+BrIknci ! _ The Darning and Bartack stitches are described in chapter 1 (page 1-3). Touch a bartack icon of your choice. The bartack width and length can be changed by touching the +1- icons. Touch esc to return to previous menu. Touch stitch 64: This program is suited for darning damaged spots. Repair the damaged area by guiding the fabric evenly forwards and backwards. The shorter the selected stitch length, the denser the darning will be. Set the darning width before starting to sew. You determine the length of the darned area by pressing the reverse key during sewing. The program is then completed fully automatically when the preset width is reached, and tied off at the end. After the program has been sewn once, the settings are saved in the memory until you select another pattern. Touch stitch 65: This program is suited for repairing holes. Overstitch the damaged area lengthwise and crosswise. The shorter the selected stitch length, the denser the darning will be. Set the darning width before starting to sew. Determine the length of the darned area by pressing the reverse key just beyond the edge of the hole. The darn is then completed automatically. and tied off at the end. After the program has been sewn once, the settings are saved in the memory until you select another pattern.
