CHAPTER 13: Adding and Replacing Components www.emachines.com 5 Use the four screws you removed previously to secure the new rear cooling fan to the case. The arrows on the new fan must be pointed toward the back of the case for correct air flow. 6 Connect the new fan's power cable to the system board. 7 Replace the side panel by following the instructions in "Replacing the side panel" on page 157. Replacing the power supply Tips & Tricks You need a Phillips screwdriver to add or replace the power supply. To replace the power supply: 1 Remove the side panel by following the instructions in "Removing the side panel" on page 154. 2 Disconnect all power supply cables from the system board and drives. 3 Remove the four screws that secure the power supply to the case. Screws 4 Slide the power supply forward about one inch. 166
