DMS-3130 Series Multi-Gigabit L3 Stackable Managed Switch Web UI Reference Guide To view the following window, click L3 Features > OSPF > OSPFv2 > OSPFv2 Process Settings, as shown below: Figure 6-35 OSPFv2 Process Settings Window Click the Edit button to modify the specified entry. Click the Show Detail button to view more detailed information associated with the entry. Enter a page number and click the Go button to navigate to a specific page when multiple pages exist. After clicking the Edit button, the following page will appear. Figure 6-36 OSPFv2 Process Settings (Edit) Window The fields that can be configured are described below: Parameter OSPF State Router ID Default Metric Type Description Select to enable or disable the OSPFv2 state. Enter the router ID in the IPv4 address format here. The router ID is a 32-bit number assigned to each router running the OSPF protocol. This number uniquely identifies the router within an AS. Each router has a unique router ID. Enter the default metric value used here. The range is from 1 to 16777214. Select the distance setting type here. Options to choose from are Intra-Area, Inter-Area, External-1, and External-2. • Inter-Area - Specifies the distance for OSPF inter-area routes. • Intra-Area - Specifies the distance for OSPF intra-area routes. • External-1 - Specifies the distance for OSPF external type-5 and type-7 routes with a type-1 metric. • External-2 - Specifies the distance for OSPF external type-5 and type-7 routes with a type-2 metric. Distance State Originate Enter the administrative distance value here. The range is from 1 to 255. Select to enable or disable the Default Originate Information state here. This feature is used to generate a default external route (type-5 LSA) network 0.0.0.0 to the AS. Select the Originate option here. Options to choose from are Always and None. Selecting the Always option specifies to always generate the default route regardless of existence of a default route in the routing table. 227
