DXS-3610 Series Layer 3 Stackable 10GbE Managed Switch Web UI Reference Guide The fields that can be configured in BGP Dampening are described below: Parameter Address Family Description Select the address family that will be used here. Options to choose from are:  IPv4 Unicast - Specifies to use the IPv4 unicast address family in this configuration.  IPv4 VRF - Specifies to use a VRF instance in this configuration. Enter the name of the VRF instance in the space provided or click the Please button to select a pre-configured VRF instance that will be used here. This name can be up to 12 characters long.  IPv4 Multicast - Specifies to use the IPv4 multicast address family in this configuration.  IPv6 Unicast - Specifies to use the IPv6 unicast address family in this configuration. The fields that can be configured in BGP Dampening State are described below: Parameter Dampening State Description Select to enable or disable the BGP dampening state here. Click the Apply button to accept the changes made. The fields that can be configured in BGP Dampening Route Map are described below: Parameter BGP Dampening Route Map Description Enter the BGP dampening route map name here. This name can be up to 16 characters long Click the Apply button to accept the changes made. The fields that can be configured in BGP Dampening Settings are described below: Parameter Half Life Time Reuse Value Suppress Value Max Suppress Time Unreachable Route's Half Life Description Enter the half-life time value here. This specifies the time after which the accumulated penalty of the route is decreased by half. The range is from 1 to 45 minutes. Enter the re-use value here. As the penalty is decreased and falls below the reuse threshold, the route will be re-entered into the routing table as a normal route. The range is from 1 to 20000. Enter the suppress value here. As the penalty is increased and crosses the suppress threshold, the route will become a dampening route and will not be advertised. The range is from 1 to 20000. Enter the maximum suppress value here. This specifies the maximum time that a route can be in the dampened state. The range is from 1 to 255 minutes. Enter the unreachable half-life value of the route here. This specifies the time after which the penalty of the unreachable routes is decreased by half. The range is from 1 to 45 minutes. Click the Apply button to accept the changes made. 358

Select the address family that will be used here. Options to choose from are:

IPv4 Unicast

- Specifies to use the IPv4 unicast address family in this
