Making Calls Using the Phone Keypad 1. From the Home screen, touch Phone. 2. Touch the digits of the telephone number using the Keypad. 3. Touch to place a call. 53 Making Calls using Speed Dials Speed Dials are 1-, 2-, or 3-digit shortcuts (1 to 100) you assign to contacts, to allow you to quickly call the contact. For more information about setting speed dials, see "Speed Dials" on page 52. 1. From the Home screen, touch Phone. 2. Touch the digits of the speed dial number on the Keypad, holding the last digit until the number dials. Making Calls from Contacts A contact is an entry that you have created to store the name, numbers, and other information for people or groups of interest. For more information, see "Contacts" on page 44. 1. From the Home screen, touch Contacts. 2. Swipe your finger from left to right across the contact to dial their default number. - or - Touch a contact to open the entry, and touch to dial the number.
