In the following example, the user specifies a priority of 0 for MSTI instance 0: DGS-6600:2>enable DGS-6600:15#configure terminal DGS-6600:15(config)#spanning-tree mst 0 priority 0 DGS-6600:15(config)#end Specifying per Tree per Port Priority For each port in an MSTI, the user should specify the port priority. The specified port priority must be dividable by 16. The port priority is an import factor in determining the active topology of the MSTI. Use the following command to specify the port priority on each tree: Command spanning-tree mst INSTANCE-ID portpriority PRIORITY Explanation Specifies the port priority for each tree. Besides, for each port, the user can specify the external path cost, which will be used in the computation of the CST active topology.
