The global RIP version applies to all interfaces unless the version is explicitly specified for the individual interface. Use the following commands to define the RIP version that will be sent and received by the Switch: Command version {1 | 2} ip rip receive version VERSION-ID [,|-] ip rip send version VERSION-ID [,|-] Explanation Specifies if the Switch will operate in RIP version 1 or version 2. Specifies if the interface will only receive version 1, version 2, or both versions of RIP packets. Specifies if the interface will only transmit version 1, version 2, or both versions of RIP packets.
