Often in a BGP or multi-protocol BGP speaker, many neighbors are configured with the same update policies (that is, same outbound route maps, distribute lists, filter lists, update source, and so on). Neighbors with the same update policies can be grouped into peer groups to simplify configuration and make update calculation more efficient. Command enable [privilege LEVEL] configure terminal router bgp AS-NUMBER neighbor PEER-GROUP-NAME peer-group Explanation Enter privileged EXEC mode. Enter global configuration mode. Use this command to enable (configure) BGP routing process. This command mode must be entered to execute any BGP Router configuration commands, such as "neighbor remote-as". Use the no form of the command to remove a BGP routing process. Use this command to create a peer group.
