Initializing the 01V96 239 Initializing the 01V96 You can delete all currently-recorded settings and restore the factory-preset values, and reset the Operation Lock password to its initial setting. Follow the steps below. Note: • If you initialize the 01V96 to the factory-preset values, all Scene, library and other data you stored previously will be erased. Proceed with caution. • If you want to keep the current internal data, be sure to first back up the data using the included Studio Manager software. Tip: • You can also store the data to an external MIDI device, such as a MIDI data filer, by using MIDI Bulk Dump (see page 222). 1 Make sure that the power to the 01V96 is turned off. 2 While holding down the SCENE MEMORY [STORE] button, turn on the POWER ON/OFF switch. After a moment, the 01V96 displays the following confirmation window. 3 To reset the 01V96 to factory default settings, move the cursor to the INITIALIZE button, then press [ENTER]. To cancel the initialization operation, move the cursor to the CANCEL button, then press [ENTER]. When the internal data is thoroughly overwritten, the 01V96 restarts using the factory settings. 4 To reset the Operation Lock password to its initial setting, in Step 2, move the cursor to the PASSWORD button, then press [ENTER]. The password is reset to "1234". If you do not take any action after the confirmation window appears, the window automatically closes and the 01V96 restarts without being initialized. 19 01V96-Owner's Manual Other Functions
