bottleneckMon 2 Quiet Time (s) The minimum number of seconds between consecutive alerts. The --status option displays a listing of ports for which bottleneck detection is enabled. Note The execution of this command is subject to Virtual Fabric or Admin Domain restrictions that may be in place. Refer to chapter 1, "Using Fabric OS commands" and Appendix A, "Command Availability" for details. This command is supported only on Fibre Channel F_Ports and FL_Ports. When you attempt to enable bottleneck monitoring on multiple ports, only the intersection of specified ports and currently eligible ports will have Bottleneck Detection enabled, and the remaining ports are not monitored. You must issue the command again for any ports that later become eligible (for example, after changing from E_Ports to F_Ports). Offline ports are eligible ports. Operands This command has the following operands: slot For bladed systems only, specifies the slot number of the port to monitor, followed by a slash (/). port | port_list Specifies one or more ports for bottleneck monitoring. Use switchShow for a listing of valid ports. This operand is required with the --enable and --disable options. The --show option allows only a single port to be specified with this command. A port list can consist of the following: A single port, for example, 8 or 5/8. A port range where beginning and end port are separated by a dash, for example, 8-13 or 5/8-13. A port range cannot span multiple slots. A set of ports, separated by commas, for example 3,5,7,8, or 5/3,5,7,8. A wildcard "*" indicates all F_Ports. It is recommended to enclose the asterisk in double quotation marks. --enable Enables latency bottleneck detection on one or more specified ports, and optionally enables RASLOG alerts on these ports. This command succeeds on online F_Ports, online FL_Ports or offline ports; statistics are gathered only when the port is an online F_Port or FL_Port. The following operands are optional: -alert Triggers RASLOG alerts when the port is experiencing a latency bottleneck depending on the configured alert parameters. When -alert is specified, one or more of the following operands may be specified. These operands are optional; if unspecified, defaults are used. The alert configuration parameters are ignored if -alert is not specified. -thresh threshold Specifies the severity threshold that triggers a RASLOG bottleneck alert message. The threshold indicates the percentage of one-second intervals affected by the bottleneck condition within the specified time window. The threshold is expressed as the equivalent fraction between 0 and 1. The default value is 0.1. -time window Specifies the time window in seconds over which the bottlenecking percentage is computed and compared with the threshold. The maximum window size is 10800 seconds. The default is 300 seconds. Fabric OS Command Reference 67 53-1001337-01
