Figure 6-14 IPv6 Interface (Detail, IPv6 Interface Settings) Window The fields that can be configured for Interface are described below: Parameter IPv6 State Description Select to enable or disable the IPv6 interface's global state here. Click the Back button to return to the previous window. Click the Apply button to accept the changes made. The fields that can be configured for Static IPv6 Address Settings are described below: Parameter IPv6 Address Description Enter the IPv6 address for this IPv6 interface here. Select the EUI-64 option to configure an IPv6 address on the interface using the EUI-64 interface ID. Select the Link Local option to configure a link-local address for the IPv6 interface. Click the Apply button to accept the changes made. The fields that can be configured for NS Interval Settings are described below: Parameter NS Interval Description Enter the NS interval between 0 and 3600000 milliseconds. Click the Apply button to accept the changes made. The fields that can be configured for ND Settings are described below: Parameter Hop Limit Reachable Time Description Enter the IPv6 hop limit value here. This is used to configure the hop limit to be advertised in RA messages. The IPv6 packet originated at the system will also use this value as the initial hop limit. To use the default value on this interface, configure this value as 0. The range is from 0 to 255. Enter the reachable time used in the ND protocol here. The configured time is used by the router on the interface and is also advertised in RA message. If the specified time is 0, the router will use 30 seconds on the interface and advertise 0 (unspecified) in RA message. The reachable time is used by the IPv6 node in 186
