DGS-1510 Series Gigabit Ethernet SmartPro Switch Web UI Reference Guide The Switch includes the following PoE features: • Auto-discovery recognizes the connection of a PD and automatically sends power to it. • The Auto-disable feature occur under two conditions: firstly, if the total power consumption exceeds the system power limit; and secondly, if the per port power consumption exceeds the per port power limit. • Active circuit protection automatically disables the port if there is a short. Other ports will remain active. To view the following window, click System > PoE > PoE System, as shown below: Figure 3-11 PoE System Window The fields that can be configured are described below: Parameter Unit Usage Threshold Policy Preempt Trap State Description Select the switch unit that will be used for this configuration here. Enter the usage threshold to generate a log and send the corresponding standard notification. The range is from 1 to 99 percent. Select to enable or disable the policy preempt function. When this function is Enabled, under the power shortage condition, power provisioned to PDs with lower priority will instead be provisioned to PDs with higher priority. When this function is Disabled, the power management mode will use the first in, first serviced method. Select this option to enable or disable the sending of PoE notifications. Click the Apply button to accept the changes made. Click the Show Detail button to see the PoE system Parameters table at the bottom of the window. 20

The Switch includes the following PoE features:

This window is used to configure the PoE system, and display the detailed power information and PoE

To view the following window, click

Select the switch unit that will be used for this configuration here.
Usage Threshold
Enter the usage threshold to generate a log and send the
corresponding standard notification. The range is from 1 to 99
percent.
Policy Preempt
Select to enable or disable the policy preempt function.
When this function is
