GS716Tv2 and GS724Tv3 Software Administration Manual Server Log Configuration Use the Server Log Configuration page to allow the switch to send log messages to the remote logging hosts configured on the system. To access the Server Log Configuration page: 1. Click the Monitoring  Logs tab, and then click the Server Log link. Figure 6-7 Table 6-9. Server Log Configuration Fields Field Admin Status Local UDP Port Messages Relayed Messages Ignored Description Specifies whether to send log messages to the remote syslog hosts configured on the switch: • Enable: Messages will be sent to all configured hosts (syslog collectors or relays) using the values configured for each host. • Disable: Stops logging to all syslog hosts. Disable means no messages will be sent to any collector/relay. Specifies the port on the switch from which syslog messages are sent. The default port is 514. The number of messages forwarded by the syslog function to a syslog host. Messages forwarded to multiple hosts are counted once for each host. The number of messages that were ignored. Server Log Configuration
Use the Server Log Configuration page to allow the switch to send log messages to the remote
logging hosts configured on the system.
To access the Server Log Configuration page:
1.
Click the
Monitoring
Logs
tab, and then click the
Server Log
link.

Field
Description
Admin Status
Specifies whether to send log messages to the remote syslog hosts configured
on the switch:
Enable:
Messages will be sent to all configured hosts (syslog collectors or
relays) using the values configured for each host.
Disable:
Stops logging to all syslog hosts. Disable means no messages will
be sent to any collector/relay.
Local UDP Port
Specifies the port on the switch from which syslog messages are sent. The
default port is 514.
Messages Relayed
The number of messages forwarded by the syslog function to a syslog host.
Messages forwarded to multiple hosts are counted once for each host.
Messages Ignored
The number of messages that were ignored.
