Planning your ePolicy Orchestrator configuration Server configuration overview 2 Process overview This process is a high-level overview of the configuration process for your server. Many items represent specific feature sets or functional areas of the ePolicy Orchestrator software: 1 Configure essential features - ePolicy Orchestrator software has some essential features that you must configure for your server to function properly. Use the Guided Configuration tool to configure the essential features of your McAfee ePO server. 2 Configure general server settings - Server settings in this group affect functionality that you do not need to modify for your server to operate correctly, but you can customize some aspects of how your server works. 3 Create user accounts - User accounts provide a means for users to access the server. 4 Configure permission sets - Permission sets grant rights and access to ePolicy Orchestrator features. 5 Configure advanced server settings and features - Your ePolicy Orchestrator server provides advanced features and functionality to help you automate the management of your network security. 6 Setup additional components - Additional components such as distributed repositories, registered servers, and Agent Handlers are required to use many of the advanced features of your ePolicy Orchestrator software.
