If the short method is chosen, the default cost value is in the range of 1 through 65,535. If the long method is chosen, the default cost value is in the range of 1 through 200,000,000. Examples The following example specifies the long pathcost method. Console# spanning-tree pathcost method long spanning-tree mst priority The spanning-tree mst priority global configuration command configures the device priority for the specified spanning-tree instance. To return to the default setting, use the no form of this command. Syntax spanning-tree mst instance-id priority priority no spanning-tree mst instance-id priority • instance-id-ID of the spanning -tree instance (Range: 1-15). • priority-Device priority for the specified spanning-tree instance (Range: 0-61440).
